Taiwo Cole’s father, in an audio circulating online, has revealed why his son’s marriage with actress Wofai Fada won’t succeed.
Previously, we reported that the well-known Cole family from Victoria Island, Lagos, disapproved of Taiwo’s purported marriage to actress and comedian Wofai Ewa in a traditional ceremony in Ugep, Cross River State.
In a widely circulated statement, Kunle Cole, the family patriarch, officially distanced the family from the union. He clarified that the family had no prior knowledge of the marriage plans and did not give consent or approval.
In the audio clip gaining attention online, Kunle Cole disclosed some reasons why his son’s marriage with Wofai Fada is unlikely to work.
According to him, Wofai Fada is 38 years old while Taiwo Cole is 30 years old. They met only 6 to 7 months ago, and that was also when Kunle Cole first met Wofai Fada.
He mentioned that Wofai Fada is currently pregnant with Taiwo’s child, expected to be born around September to October.
Regarding the wedding, Kunle Cole expressed pain that it occurred without the knowledge or involvement of the entire Cole Family of Victoria Island. He highlighted that Taiwo Cole’s mother, from whom he had been divorced for 27 years, was the only one present at the traditional wedding.
He also noted that Taiwo has a child from a previous relationship, and they are still working to resolve matters before proceeding with the traditional marriage to Wofai Fada.
