Kizz Daniel, a well-known Nigerian singer, has been making waves online recently due to his confrontation with fellow artist Tekno. Today, on April 29th, 2024, Kizz Daniel expressed strong criticism towards Tekno on his official Twitter account.
This reaction stems from Tekno’s apparent mockery regarding the rumored N1 billion royalties from their hit song “Buga.”
“Buga” is a popular track by Kizz Daniel from his 2023 album “Maverick,” where he collaborates with Tekno. In a circulating interview conducted by Music Base Africa, Tekno reportedly shared details about Kizz Daniel’s practice of splitting the proceeds from “Buga” equally each month. The interview also claimed that Tekno mentioned receiving close to a billion Naira in royalties from Kizz Daniel for their collaborative effort.
The post reads;“I got on Kizz Daniel’s Buga with no sort of legal agreement.
I wasn’t expecting anything from him. Wanted to be silent about this but I think some levels of gratitude deserve to be spoken of. Do y’all know Kizz Daniel sends me 50% of every revenue he generates from that song ? After his buga tour he sent me close to a Billion Naira and I was already shocked enough by that move. He didn’t end just there.
Every month I receive millions as my own share of the revenue generated by Buga on streaming platforms… Kizz is a great guy I can’t lie.”
Responding to this, Tekno said that the interview was absolutely nothing but a fabricated one tagging it as false.
Tekno further stirred reactions in his tweet by saying that Kizz Daniel doesn’t have such kind of money to pay him.
Tekno wrote; “Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama. #Talkingshit.”
However, Kizz Daniel didn’t respond when Tekno tweeted this shady tweet on April 14th and by extension waited till April 29th.
Kizz Daniel while responding refers to the tweet referred to Tekno as a foolish person and bastard stressing that he helped Tekno with a feature on his global song, Buga only to start spewing trash on social media.
Kizz Daniel wrote; “😂 Dem mention money you sef dey talk… spewing shit like anus 🤣🤣 see ekuke way we rescue with BUGA !! 🤣🤣🤣 Oloribu omo ale.”
