In a video circulating on social media, popular Nigerian rapper Reminisce, also known as Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, revealed an interesting insight about the hit song “One Dance,” performed by Drake featuring Wizkid.

The nostalgic track “One Dance,” released in 2016, recently achieved a significant milestone by becoming the 7th song on Spotify to reach 3 billion views. Since its release, the song has maintained a high level of popularity, breaking records and earning a Grammy nomination.

In the viral throwback video of an interview with Hip TV, Reminisce shared his perspective on the song “One Dance.” He credited Wizkid for contributing to Drake’s musical success by delivering remarkable lyrics in the song.

Reminisce highlighted Wizkid’s established status at the time and how he elevated Nigeria’s presence on the global music scene. He emphasized that Wizkid’s contribution to “One Dance” not only garnered international attention but also reshaped the perception of African music.

Reports also indicated that prior to “One Dance,” Canadian rapper Drake had not achieved any #1 charting songs as a lead artist, making the collaboration with Wizkid a significant milestone in his career.
