“I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks” – Singer Tiwa Savage cries out as she postpones all shows

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Tiwa Savage, has temporarily stopped music performance due to strange illness.

The ‘Koroba’ crooner made it known in a press statement that she has been fighting off a virus, which forced her to undergo an extended period of strict vocal rest, spanning several months.

Tiwa Savage has always been known for her strong work ethic, delivering powerful performances at her shows. However, the importance of prioritizing health cannot be overemphasized. Artistes, just like any other professionals, require adequate rest and recovery, especially when facing health issues.

However, Tiwa announced that she have to postpone all her music performance due to the virus including her first ever headline arena show in London.

The statement reads, “To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months. I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.”

“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice. I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”

Tiwa Savage revealed that new dates for the postponed shows will be announced.
