The senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, couldn’t resist making light of Bafana Bafana of South Africa following their defeat to the Super Eagles.
Having previously prayed for Nigeria’s Super Eagles before their semi-finals clash, Jimmy Odukoya took to humor after the victory. He jokingly told South Africa that it was time for them to go to bed, praising them for their well-executed gameplay.
The pastor added a playful touch by singing the Grammy award-winning song “Water” by South African artist Tyla, humorously suggesting that the Bafana Bafana should “drink water” as they have lost their breath in the match.
See some reactions below;
Belugo noted: “Pastor dropping the banter religiously 😂”
Weyimi B. Lube suggested: “Call tyla to give them water.”
Paul Akingbola penned: “Yes o! God said it, through you. And He performed it through them! This one pass reason to celebrate 😁🎉”
soulbeat__ said: “South Africa made us sweat just like Tyla but we made them feel it like Davido”
