A well-known American media outlet has taken to social media to respond to the trending video of Hushpuppi celebrating Tunde Ednut’s birthday inside a USA prison.

The video of Hushpuppi, the infamous Nigerian cyber fraud convict, breaking his silence and celebrating Tunde Ednut’s 38th birthday from his prison cell went viral on January 22nd, 2024. This event occurred despite Hushpuppi’s sentencing to over 11 years in a US prison, with an additional order to pay $1.7 million to the victims, following his guilty plea in April 2021 for conspiracy to engage in money laundering.

In the video, Hushpuppi purportedly showcased himself, along with a spread of food, including fried rice, jollof rice, soft drinks, and assorted meats, as a way to celebrate Tunde Ednut in his own manner within the confines of the US prison.

The authenticity of the video has been a subject of debate online, with some suggesting it might be old footage, while others speculated that Hushpuppi’s voice could have been manipulated by someone else.

To add credibility to the situation, a prominent US media entity, Daily Loud, with 2.8 million followers on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), confirmed the development in a recent post on their page.

Daily Loud who are well known for their Hip-Hop and viral news across the world wrote; “Popular Nigerian scammer HushPuppi posts a video of him celebrating a friends birthday from jail. He is believed to have scammed people for over $300 Million.”
