Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi expressed sympathy for the residents of Ibadan, Oyo State, following recent explosions in the city.

On the night of January 18, at 8:00 pm, explosions occurred, causing confusion and prompting many to seek safety.

Images and videos circulating online depict buildings reduced to rubble and vehicles damaged by the blasts. Affected areas include Eleyele, Ologuneru, Owalla, Ekerin, Isokan, Apete, and parts of the University College Hospital (UCH), where windows were shattered. Other impacted locations include Gbaremu, Mokola, Bodija, Oke-Itunu, Basorun, Akobo, and Sango. Sections of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Oyo State House of Assembly, and the late Bola Ige’s residence were reportedly affected.

Toyin, who is a native of Ibadan, offered healing prayers to her fans and followers on her Instagram page. She shared a photo of a candle with a lit flame, symbolizing the celebration of the memory of a loved one who passed away.

She wrote, “Ibadan my home, my people,my birth place, my origin💔 Ibadan, sending healing prayers👏”.
