A Nigerian lady named Gbemi has shared her experience on social media, expressing her displeasure after a man named Adewale split the bill during their date.
Gbemi, who narrated the incident on X platform, described it as an embarrassing moment. According to her account, Adewale asked her to cover N8k out of their bills, and she criticized him for being calculative and accused him of being broke.
She wrote, “I hate being on a table with a guy that calculates everything. If you don’t have money stay at home pls..it’s fvcking embarrassing 🙄🤦🏽♀️”.
Adewale, sharing his perspective on his page, explained that the date was Gbemi’s idea. He claimed to have covered N60k of the total bill and politely asked Gbemi to contribute the remaining amount.
He wrote, “To start with @simplegbemi, we both know the date Idea was yours, proof Dey! Or you thought I wouldn’t see this? the whole bill was 68k, I paid 60k and asked you to add 8k. Obviously, your problem isn’t me re-calculating the bill, it’s the 8,350 you added.”
