Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is once again making waves — this time, not with his music, but with his fists. The singer recently stepped into the boxing ring with fellow entertainer Speed Darlington, and the outcome has taken the internet by storm.
The highly anticipated fight took place on the night of April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos. The event, tagged “Chaos In The Ring”, aimed to settle the long-standing feud between the two controversial celebrities. While both entertainers are known for their eccentric personalities and online drama, the real action unfolded in the boxing ring.
Before the match, Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, brought major drama to the event by arriving with a casket, possibly symbolizing his confidence and intention to “bury” his opponent. Ironically, things took a turn for the worse, as it was Akpi who needed medical attention. After just one round, Portable knocked him out, and Speed Darlington was unable to continue the fight. One of his arms was reportedly damaged and was later seen wrapped in bandages as he was placed in an ambulance.
This marks Portable’s second major boxing win. The singer, famous for his breakout hit “Zazoo Zeh,” had earlier defeated Nollywood actor Charles Okocha in a previous celebrity boxing match. With this new victory, Portable has officially been crowned the champion of the “Chaos In The Ring” bout, reinforcing his image as not just an entertainer but a streetwise fighter as well.
From music to boxing, Portable continues to show that he is a force to be reckoned with — both on and off the stage.
