Popular internet sensation Black Camaru, born Kurunmi Ijaya and known for the catchphrase “If I hold you in my hand, your blood will dry,” is a Nigerian actor, singer, and comedian. In a recent interview, he opened up about his struggles and how he became broke.
He was featured in the hit movie Gangs of Lagos, acting alongside Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi, Chike, and other stars, and he earned N5 million for his performance.
Black Camaru was interviewed by media personality Mr Lilgaga and he shared his sad story of how he got cheated by people, rendering him broke and homeless with his newborn baby girl.
Black Camaru admitted that alcohol and drug use contributed to his downfall. He appealed for financial support and accommodation, vowing to quit drinking after facing serious hardships. He also revealed his desire to have many children and stated that he would go naked for N10 million. His role models are DMX, 2Pac, and Ja Rule.
