A devastating tragedy has struck the Nigerian community in the UK with the passing of 32-year-old Temitope Elizabeth Soneye Iwute, who died during childbirth in London. This heartbreaking event occurred shortly after Elizabeth completed her Master’s degree at York St. John University.
Elizabeth’s promising future was cut short, leaving behind a newborn son and a community in mourning. The Nigerians in the UK Community (NIUK Community) has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support Elizabeth’s newborn son and cover funeral expenses.
According to the community, “Temitope was vibrant and full of life, looking forward to her journey as a mother. Her death is a devastating loss to her family, friends, and the community.”
The campaign aims to provide financial support during this difficult time and ensure Elizabeth’s legacy lives on through her child.
