A deadly clash between football fans in Uganda’s Kabale district resulted in the tragic death of Manchester United supporter Benjamin Okello.
The altercation occurred on October 27 at Kyobugombe Trading Centre, where Okello was watching the Arsenal vs. Liverpool match. When Mo Salah scored a late equalizer for Liverpool, Okello celebrated by throwing popcorn, infuriating an Arsenal fan, identified as Onan.
The situation escalated into a physical confrontation, and Onan allegedly struck Okello with a stick, leading to his fatal injuries. Police are now searching for Onan, described as a notorious criminal, as authorities urge calm and emphasize the importance of peaceful sports rivalry.
