A Nigerian dentist has questioned the authenticity of Jarvis‘ N30m GoFundMe campaign for mouth tumor surgery. The dentist, @Dentalgiorgio, claimed that the surgery can be performed at his center for N200,000, inclusive of tests, biopsy, admission charges, and feeding.
This contradicts Jarvis’ boyfriend, Peller’s, statement that N30m is required for the surgery. Another user, @Phatill, corroborated the dentist’s claim, sharing her own experience at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) where she paid N405,000 for the same surgery.
The discrepancy has sparked debate about transparency and accuracy in medical fundraising campaigns.
