A music lover has criticized singer, Wizkid, born Ibrahim Balogun after he professed his love and support for two of his contemporaries in the entertainment business, Davido and Burna Boy.
At the 2022 Afronation in Portugal, Wizkid unexpectedly paid tribute to Burna Boy and Davido and he acknowledged Davido and Burna Boy for promoting unity and Afrobeats.
In his words,
“Everytime I link up with my brother, he is always telling me good shit about unity and Afrobeats. I wanna tell you tonight Starboy got love for Burnaboy, I got love for Davido, I got love for every f**king body.
I wanna say thank you to the fans for supporting us and bringing us here to.”
Music lovers and fans were filled with joy as they jumped in joy over Wizkid’s utterance.
However, some online users found this claim to be false and criticized Wizkid for it.
A Twitter user going by the handle @iamhbozz noted a couple of instances in which Wizkid utterly snubbed Davido despite the latter showing him love.
According to the tweep, Wizkid was allegedly trying to utilize Davido to promote his upcoming record.
The tweet reads:
