Victor Boniface, a standout player for Bayer Leverkusen, recently revealed that Nigerian rapper Olamide has been avoiding him since 2019.
Boniface shared that he has been attempting to reach out to the YBNL boss on social media for about five years, but Olamide has never responded to his messages.
Boniface made this revelation on his X account (formerly known as Twitter) on Saturday, also addressing fans who are frustrated that he doesn’t respond to their direct messages. The Super Eagles striker humorously wrote: “You’re upset that I haven’t replied to your DM. I’ve been DMing @Olamide since 2019. My helper still hasn’t replied to me.”
In a related development, Victor Boniface issued a warning to social media trolls, making it clear that he won’t be offering monetary rewards for insults, unlike singer Chike, who recently gave ₦1 million to a critic. Chike’s gesture sparked widespread debate, with some criticizing him for not rewarding loyal fans and others dismissing it as a publicity stunt.
Boniface, however, expressed his views on X, stating that he sees insults as mere entertainment and has no plans to compensate those who hurl them. He wrote, “I just wake up and see insults as cruise. Now I’m beginning to understand. My account doesn’t do transfers ooo.”
His post elicited mixed reactions, with some users continuing to insult him and others suggesting that he reward his detractors.
