Superstar Afrobeat singer Davido Adeleke has responded to one of his baby mamas, Sophia Momodu, after she mentioned his late son Ifeanyi in a counter affidavit.
Sophia, the mother of Davido’s daughter Imade, submitted a 100-paragraph counter-affidavit following the singer’s request for joint custody.
In paragraph 76, Sophia recounted the tragic loss of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, to a domestic accident, which she described as negligence. She cited this incident as a reason to keep their daughter, Imade, away from Davido.
Davido reacted strongly to Sophia’s statement, criticizing her for reopening a painful wound despite the ongoing grief he and his wife Chioma are experiencing. He subtly suggested pausing the custody battle, implying that one day their daughter would understand that he fought to be a part of her life.
Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), Davido, also known as OBO, expressed his deep love for his daughter Imade, emphasizing his dedication to being present in her life.
“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!” he wrote.
