Award-winning music star Davido’s bouncer, Segun Ogunjobi, better known as Segxy, has addressed the recent reports claiming the singer assaulted him at his wedding with Chioma Avril Rowland.
A video circulating online showed Davido appearing to slap one of his bouncers during the ceremony. The incident, which included Davido’s wife Chioma standing nearby, sparked considerable controversy and criticism on social media. In the clip, it seemed the bouncer was trying to prevent a child from reaching Davido, which allegedly led to the slap.
The bouncer’s reaction was one of shock, and the video stirred online reactions. One user, Benny, criticized Davido for slapping a full-grown man at his wedding and questioned if such behavior was acceptable.
Segxy has now spoken out to clarify the situation. He stated that Davido did not slap him and has never slapped any of his staff. According to Segxy, the singer was merely cautioning him to let the boy approach. He explained that the boy appeared suddenly, and he intended to stop the child from meeting Davido.
Reaffirming his loyalty to Davido, Segxy emphasized that he understands the singer’s intentions and stands by him.
